After breakfast, drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate (2-3 hours), where you will complete the park registration. From there, drive to the starting point of the trek and begin your journey through the dense rainforest. Trek through the rainforest and heather moorland zone, crossing several streams before reaching Shira Ridge. Afterward, descend gently to Shira 1 Camp, located at 3,500 meters. Today’s trek involves a hike towards Lava Tower at 4,600 meters for acclimatization purposes. Following this, descend to Barranco Camp through the alpine desert. The total hike covers 10 kilometers and lasts about 7-8 hours. This challenging day aids in acclimatization due to the significant gain and loss in altitude.

Ascend gradually to Barafu Camp at 4,600 meters. Arrive in the early afternoon, take some rest, and prepare for the summit attempt. This day’s trek covers 4 kilometers and lasts 4-5 hours. An early dinner is followed by rest to prepare for the final push to the summit.
Begin your summit attempt at midnight. Hike to Uhuru Peak, the highest point at 5,895 meters, arriving at sunrise. Enjoy the summit experience and take photos before descending to Barafu Camp for a brief rest. Continue down to Mweka Camp, located at 3,100 meters. The ascent takes 7-8 hours, and the descent covers 12 kilometers, taking 4-6 hours.
Descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, situated at 1,640 meters. The final descent covers 10 kilometers and takes 3-4 hours. At the gate, collect your summit certificates and transfer back to Moshi for a celebration dinner and relaxation.
