Day by Day

Your Itinerary

Arrive at the airport and receive a private transfer to your hotel. Settle in and receive a briefing about the next day’s journey to Mikumi National Park.

Enjoy an early breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a scenic drive to Mikumi National Park, which takes approximately 4-5 hours. Check in at Vuma Hills Tented Camp and have lunch. Relax at the camp or take an optional short game drive. Enjoy dinner and an evening at leisure.

After an early breakfast, set out for a full-day game drive exploring Mikumi National Park. Visit the Mkata floodplain, known for its abundant wildlife and bird species. Spot a variety of animals including lions, elephants, zebras, and giraffes. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before returning to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Mikumi. Return to the camp for breakfast, then drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park, a journey of approximately 2-3 hours. Check in at Udzungwa Forest Camp (Hondo Hondo) and have lunch. In the afternoon, hike to Sanje Waterfalls, marveling at the spectacular views and lush surroundings. Return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Enjoy a full day of guided exploration in the lush Udzungwa Mountains. Visit the ancient Magombera forest and spot diverse flora and endemic species. Wildlife spotting opportunities include the Iringa red colobus, Sanje mangabey, and other unique species. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature before returning to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Have an early breakfast at the camp. Engage in optional morning activities such as a short hike or a visit to a local village. Depart for Dar es Salaam with a packed lunch en route, a drive of approximately 6 hours. Drop off at the airport for your onward flight or transfer to your hotel.
